Vinodol
was built
in 1952
as
Hydro Power Plant
Nikola Tesla
,
mostly
muscle
strength
of young people
and
convicts
.
It is important
also because
it
was the first
hydro power plant
designed for
the needs of
Croatian
electric power system
,
and not only
local needs
.
Hydroelectric
generators
are
synchronized
with
the electricity
network
on May 25
, 1952
and
a few days
later
on the 1st of
June 1952
,
was put into
operation the first
generator
.
