WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART PORCELAIN BISQUE BUST VINTAGE FIGURINE.
This E
state sale item was purchased prior to 2000.
This is a bust of the adult Mozart wearing an open front frock coat and jabot.   The bust is made in an off white or ecru colored unglazed or bisque porcelain.   The first photograph is closest to the actual color.  The name Mozart is written in capital letters in gilt on the top of the glazed pedestal.  There is gilding around the pedestal edges.  It is unsigned and there are no hallmarks.  Underneath are numbers and a letter printed in red glossy paint, as follows:  23/349X.  You have to hold the bust at an angle in order to read it.
The bust is about 5 1/4 inches tall x about 2 5/8 inches wide x about 2 inches deep.  It weighs about 4.7 ounces.
It is in good vintage condition. No chips or cracks.
There are some wear marks on the bottom of the base.
A nice collector's item.
