Description
EDWARD TELLER publicity photo 1971 hydrogen bomb matteThis is a black and white print featuring EDWARD TELLER, printed and distributed by Gale Research Co. in 1968. The photo was created for reference use and has been affixed to a piece of cardboard. PLEASE NOTE – it is not an actual glossy photo, it is a matte print (more subtle and neutral than a glossy). Moreover, it is a retired library piece that has been handled and utilized.
The picture measures approximately 6 x 8 inches, and the image shown is the actual picture, though the company logo has been mater-marked on it to prevent image theft (it doesn’t come like that, of course). The approximate measurement represents the actual dimension of the exposed image, though there may be a caption or short border surrounding it in most cases.
Edward Teller was a Hungarian-born American theoretical physicist, known colloquially as "the father of the hydrogen bomb," even though he did not care for the title. He was an early member of the Manhattan Project, charged with developing the first atomic bombs. During this time he made a serious push to develop the first fusion-based weapons as well, but these were deferred until after World War II. After his controversial testimony in the security clearance hearing of his former Los Alamos colleague Robert Oppenheimer, Teller became ostracized from much of the scientific community. He is considered one of the inspirations for the character Dr. Strangelove in the 1964 movie of the same name.
My Policies:
We offer several different shipping options and accept Paypal (and we do indeed combine shipping). We take pride in carefully packaging purchases -- almost always in bubble-wrap and/or specially-made boxes...
Customer satisfaction rules, and making sure customers conclude a gratifying transaction is what we aim for at Glass Eye Industries. We’ve been executing appraisals, working with liquidators and buying estates for well over two decades; we’re confident we know what we’re doing and we price fairly, based on availability, collectible-value and demand. All of our items are guaranteed -- to the best of our knowledge -- to be authentic and licensed pieces. In fact, we go to great lengths to accurately photograph, research and describe the items we sell.
We are very diligent -- with people checking product on the way in and the way out; however, on occasion, minute imperfections are sometimes unavoidable (hence, refunds can only be given in cases of complete misrepresentation).
We take feedback seriously… if you encounter a problem with your Ebay item once it is received, please contact us before leaving negative or neutral comments, and we will work through the problem. We always combine shipping, as we too are buyers (just like you!). We realize that postage prices have gone up substantially, as have the price of high-quality mailing envelopes and packaging materials; our shipping prices reasonably reflect that inflation. Please do not criticize and/or give us low marks for our “shipping and handling charges” after buying. If you do not agree with the shipping charge, simply do not buy. It’ll make it much easier for both of us...
